The World Equestrian Games End in Lexington, Honoring Athletes & Volunteers
The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games were ushered out Sunday afternoon in a ceremony that honored two groups who made the Games happen: the athletes, who put on 16 days of thrilling equestrian sport, and the 6,000 volunteers who did nearly everything else with good cheer. They streamed into Rolex Stadium waving flags and multicolored pompons, celebrating the end of a mostly successful event.
