T.J. Maxx will open a location in Somerset’s Grand Central Place shopping center in the space formerly occupied by HomeWorx & Discount Central. The 24,000 square foot, store is slated to open Spring 2012. T.J. Maxx was founded in 1976, and together with Marshalls, forms The Marmaxx Group, the largest off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the U.S. At the end of 2010, T.J. Anchored by Kroger, Goody’s, Dunham Sports, and the new Hobby Lobby, Grand Central Place is located in Somerset at the intersection of Grand Central Blvd. and US 27.
